Game On: CapU Sports Club Roundup

Badminton, Bollywood, boxing—oh my! CapU’s sports clubs have a place for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned athlete or a beginner player.

Did you know that Capilano University has a whopping 12 sports clubs? These student-run extracurriculars are perfect for anyone wanting to stay active outside class, hone their athletic skills or simply have fun. From traditional team sports to niche interests, there’s a welcoming place at CapU for everyone looking to get their heart rate up or make new friends.

Capilano Badminton Club

For those who enjoy the fast-paced game of badminton, the Badminton Club offers a chance to play and improve. Open to all levels, the club emphasizes enthusiasm, collaboration and skill development. To join, email the club president at capilanobadm@gmail.com.

 

Capilano Bollywood Club

Dance enthusiasts can step into the vibrant world of Bollywood dance at CapU. This club honours the joy of movement, hosting workshops and social events to encourage self-expression and connection. To join, email the club president at capilanobollywoodclub@gmail.com.

Capilano Boxing Club

The Boxing Club might be your match if you’re into fitness and discipline. The club provides supportive training for all levels and focuses on building mental resilience and confidence through boxing. Capilano Cricket Club

Capilano Outdoors Club

For adventure seekers, the Outdoors Club organizes hiking, camping, rock climbing and kayaking activities. It’s ideal for students keen on exploring nature and building friendships. Capilano Rowing Club

Capilano Students Golf Club

Capilano Weightlifting Club

Panjh-aab Bhangra Club

This club shares and celebrates Punjabi folk dances, including Bhangra and Giddha. Members can learn choreography from experienced dancers weekly and appreciate the artistry and culture of dance. To join, email the club president at panjhaabbhangraclub@gmail.com.

Premier Run Club
