On Sunday, Sept. 24, CapU visited Douglas College but came up short in a 2-1 result. Aynsley Hurtado was the goalscorer for the Blues.

MEN’S

The Blues men’s team earned its first win of the season Saturday, Sept. 23, posting a 2-1 triumph over the visiting Vancouver Island University. Sebastian Cirotto scored the winning goal in dramatic fashion, volleying a drive from outside the 18-yard-box. Tommy Millar set up both Blues goals on Saturday with corner kicks.
On Sunday, Sept. 24 at Douglas College, CapU got out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Alex Lopez and Cirotto but couldn’t hold on as Douglas came back to tie it for a 2-2 final score.
Both teams are next in action Saturday, Sept. 30 at Langara College. The Blues are home at Lillooet Park the next day, Sunday, Oct. 1, against Langara. The women’s game will be starting at noon and the men following with a 2:30 p.m. kickoff.
