The Blues men’s team earned its first win of the season Saturday, Sept. 23, posting a 2-1 triumph over the visiting Vancouver Island University. On Sunday, Sept. 24 at Douglas College, CapU got out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Alex Lopez and Cirotto but couldn’t hold on as Douglas came back to tie it for a 2-2 final score.
Both teams are next in action Saturday, Sept. 30 at Langara College. The Blues are home at Lillooet Park the next day, Sunday, Oct. 1, against Langara. The women’s game will be starting at noon and the men following with a 2:30 p.m. kickoff.
