The Capilano Students' Union Semi-Annual General Meeting (SAGM) happened on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. It was scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. but it was called to order at 12:03 p.m. because of lack of quorum. It proceeded as an informational meeting since there was no quorum to vote on the only motion in the agenda—A special resolution to change the timeframe for arbitration panel decisions from 48 hours to 3 business days.

"All members of the Capilano Students’ Union (all students who are registered in courses and who have paid student society fees in the current or previous semester) have the right to attend and vote at general meetings to provide direction to the students’ union."

Have you ever walked past 827 East Georgia Street?

Join Lucas and Christien as they visit the former home of Nora Hendrix—grandmother of Jimi Hendrix—and uncover the history of Hogan’s Alley, former home to a growing community of Italian, Chinese, and black Canadians that were displaced to make room for a "Slum-Clearance and Urban Rehabilitation Project" in the 50s. Through conversations with the current resident of Nora Hendrix's house and historical insights, we uncover the enduring significance of this neighbourhood in Vancouver's Black history.
